Protecting your personal data is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how RSJ Software GmbH (hereinafter “we” or “controller”) processes personal data in connection with this website.

2. General information on data processing

We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services. Personal data is processed only when a legal basis exists:

• Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR – consent of the data subject
• Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR – performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures
• Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR – compliance with a legal obligation
• Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – legitimate interests (e.g. operation and security of the website)

The provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) apply in addition.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider. Personal data collected on this website is stored on the servers of the host. The host is engaged to provide our online offer securely, quickly and reliably (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and, where applicable, to fulfil contracts with our users (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). A data processing agreement has been concluded with the hosting provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Server log files

Each time this website is accessed, our system or the hosting provider automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the requesting device (server log files). This includes:

• the IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of the request
• name and URL of the retrieved file/page
• the website from which the request originates (referrer URL)
• the browser used and, where applicable, the operating system

The log files are required to deliver the website technically, to ensure its functionality and to detect and fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security and stability of our offer). The data is deleted or anonymised after a short period, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Contact

When you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number, enquiry) in order to handle and answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contractual relationship; otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing enquiries).

Data transmitted in connection with your enquiry remains with us until the purpose of the processing no longer applies, statutory retention obligations do not oppose deletion, or you ask us to delete the data or revoke your consent.

6. Cookies, analytics and tracking

This website is a purely static information site. We use no tracking cookies and no analytics or marketing services. Fonts and resources are delivered locally. One exception is appointment booking via Google Calendar (see section 7), which is only loaded after your explicit consent. Should further functions that use cookies or comparable technologies be added, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, obtain your consent.

7. Appointment booking via Google Calendar

For booking a video call we embed the Google Calendar (Appointment Schedules) service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The booking calendar is not loaded automatically. Only when you click the “Load booking calendar” button is Google’s calendar widget loaded (two-click solution). This transmits in particular your IP address, browser and device information and the data you enter in the booking dialog to Google; Google may also set cookies. A transfer to the USA (Google LLC) cannot be excluded; Google relies, among other things, on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

The legal basis for processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future by reloading the page and not activating the booking calendar again. Further information on data processing by Google is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

8. Links to product and service pages

This website links to products and services of RSJ Software GmbH and affiliated offers (e.g. lpsng.rsj.de, 3dpacker.rsj.de, pdfmerge.rsj.de, py2native.dev, timestampgit.dev). Those offers may provide for their own data processing and their own privacy notices. The data protection policies provided on the respective pages apply to data processing there. Please check the respective pages for details on how your data is handled.

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar and by the “https://” prefix.
